Aware The Society Towards Health Benefits
Tolas foundation is a nongovernmental organization. Our operational components have advanced a people-centered perspective in health & development. All of this is executed based on a community health movement with a problem-solution approach directed towards the public. We continue to participate and contribute to the health movement in India to support and engage with individuals, communities, professional bodies, and government agencies to achieve equitable health and development.
In India, there are significant disparities between social groups in terms of health and development. When one examines health data while considering caste, class, gender, and location, significant gaps emerge. It's critical to adopt an equity viewpoint when addressing health and healthcare systems in order to advance socially just health action.
Lack of Awareness
Inadequate information is due to a lack of knowledge. These can be made more difficult by cultural taboos, myths, and fears. Social norms, attitudes, and anxiety about people not taking preventative actions or going to doctors may end up making things even worse.
People frequently go to healthcare facilities when their condition has worsened or progressed to a late stage, lowering their chances of receiving effective therapy.
Urgent need of Health Awareness
Healthy living should be a part of the process. But not many afford it. People are facing food poverty, contrary to common assumption. People with mental illnesses, their families, and the services they interact with are more likely to engage in health-promoting and illness-prevention activities as a result of increased knowledge. Awareness is a stage in the growth of a person.
- Fighting food insecurity needs more than just education. Initiatives that focus on nutrition education, or even practical food skills, just cover over the actual problem. And we believe the same.
We, the Tolas Foundation, continue to work toward our goal of becoming a part of this progress.
