What Do We Do?
Having understood the urgency and complexity of the problems we face, here’s what we at Tolas Foundation have been doing to bring a positive change.
Childern Led Approch
A child-led approach to end child labour and child marriage is an attempt that works with children. This approach empowers the children by involving them in decision-making processes related to their education, health care, protection from abuse and exploitation, etc. The aim of our initiative is not only to make decisions but also to gain ownership over these issues.
Social Protection Schemes
We connect families to social protection systems and endure childbirth so that they may be linked with Anganwadi centres and schools as a result of our efforts.
Empower Childern
- Child development centres provide food, shelter, medical care, and education.
- Tutorials on communication skills for children with disabilities must be conducted.
- Training sessions on how to start a business or be an entrepreneur.
- We need to plan the future of our children by making them aware of their rights through campaigns.
Banish Child Marriages
During the campaign, we worked with local police and authorities to tackle and reduce the number of child marriages.
Building Awareness
We try to raise public awareness about gender equality, the risks and health problems associated with underage marriage, and other concerns affecting females in society.
